Slovenian Freesports Escapade

Bikenlodge Slovenian Freesports Escapade takes you out East to Slovenia's Julien Alps to take part in a week of adventure sports fun. 7 days of  adrenalin adventure exploring Slovenia with our freesports team. You will be mountain biking, wakeboarding, canyoning, rafting, hydrospeeding and kayaking. It's not all hard work, there will be plenty of time to lie on the beach, and have riverside bbqs.

Itinerary

DAY 1
arrival to Ljubljana airport (Brnik) or Trieste airport
Welcome by Bikenlodge, shuttle to Bovec
6.45pm Welcome drink
 BQQ  dinner by the Soča river in Bovec (not included in holiday price)

DAY 2
10 Meeting point with a guide (coffee)
Rafting in River Soča
chill out afternoon by the river
 
DAY 3
Meeting point  with guide (coffee)
Canyoning (4-6 hrs)
leaving Bovec acc
shuttle to lake Bohinj
cca 8 pm, arriving to apartment house in Bohinj

DAY 4 LAKE BLED&SURROUNDINGS BIKE TOUR
Bike tour to lake Bled, a bike tour around lake Bled with the local guide. Visiting the Bled sites. Riding up towards the Vintgar gorge, where Radovna river carved a  narrov passage in sheer bedrock. After a tour around this scenic gorge, we will continue further up towards Mežakla plateau. Passing alpine dairies we make a tour that brings us back towards Bohinj in the late afternoon. Dinner and staying at appartment house (with a fine restaurant).

DAY 5

back to  apartments,leaving app in Bohinj
shuttle to Ljubljana acc
evening cycling tour around Ljubljana, bars..and pubs, later party

DAY 6:
11 am Meeting point (coffee)
12-5pm Downhill mountain bike course 2h (or easy hiking at Velika Planina&visit od a unique dairy settlement in Velika planina plateau, afternon mountainboarding at Velika planina
6.00 back to Ljubljana

DAY 7
2.30pm departure for airport

Cycling from the Julian Alps to the Adriatic Sea

Bikenlodge takes you out East to Slovenia's Julien Alps to take part in a week of biking, discovering Slovenia's most beautiful countryside and towns. Slovenia is a small country.
But its smallness is nothing else than an advantage. In a single day you can take a morning refreshment in the Adriatic Sea, enjoy the views from the blooming slopes of Alps in the afternoon and finish the day in vineyards drinking world-class merlot.
7 days bike tour, of adventure exploring Slovenia with our bike team. You will be mountain biking, threw different climate areas. Central, Alpine,  sub-mediteranian and Mediteranean.
Refreshing swimming in the Alpine lakes and rivers, at the end of the journey, in te Adriatic sea. Tasting the local cousine, visit to wine cellar in Karst.

It's not all hard work, there will be shuttle all the time on the roads with you, if you get tired, need a quick repair service, we will be there for you! Also, the level of difficulty can be adjusted to your capabilities!

Itinerary:
 Day 1: Transfer from Trieste or Ljubljana Airport
Acc at hostel Park (B&B),Ljubljana
Welcome drink, dinner and evening tour around the city-centre with a guide

Day 2: Cycling in Pokljuka plateau
Shuttle to lake Bled
Bike tour around lake Bled and ride –up to the Pokljuka plateau

Late aftrnoon arrival to appartment house in Bohinj (rooms b&b), just a three min walking distance to the lake Bohinj, offering an evening walk with graet views of of the Yulian Alps sunset in the lake mirror

Day 3: Martuljek waterfall, Kranjska gora and Vršič  mountain pass
Shuttle to Kranjska Gora
Bike tour form Martuljek village threw Kranjska Gora (lake Jasna), continuing the ride up to Planica (the home of Slovenia ski-jumping), where the Alpine roads take you threw the Tamar valley.
Lunch at the local resturant in Rateče
Scenic drive acroos the Vrsic mountain pass. At 1500m (shuttle can drive you to the top), with downhill mountain-bike descent, cycling threw one of the most beautiful valleys in the Triglav national park-the Trenta valley to Bovec (eays-moderate)

Day 4: Soča river white-water day

Day 5: Karst
All day bike tour:from Most na Soči to Postojna. From Alpine world of narrow gorges of the Soča river, to the vast Karst country side with wineyards hills.
stop for lunch in a traditional Karst local-food restaurant

(Late afternoon visit to Postojna cave) or a local wine cellar in the evening

Day 6: Portorož and Piran
